Of Overcoming Roadblocks in Life

If we knew the quick route to getting our problems fixed, wouldn’t we hasten to take that route?

So if our sins could pave as hindrances to achieving our goals and aspirations, of acquiring success, or achieving the things we desire; and we simply can’t keep track of our sins or even acknowledge them sometimes, how then would we be happy without increasing in our repentance?

Imagine if we visually saw our upcoming blessings diminished and killed by our very own sins, would we then not hasten to repent?

Sincere Humble Istighfar- The simplest solution to overcoming roadblocks in life.

Istighfar should be the rhythm of our tongues. A constant whisper to our souls. Continuously, Consistently. Until the day comes that when we forget to say it, our heart misses the song of its solace and reminds us of it!

Istighfar isn’t only for major sins. It should be a constant part of ours lives, regardless of whether we perceive a sin we committed or not. Why then would our pious predecessors spend nights weeping and seeking forgiveness when they were one of those whose hearts flowed with Eman, who lived and breathed Islam, and were so honorable in the sight of Allah swt?

It is in the nature of the human being to err and fall into sin, to forget and make mistakes, to lose track of intentions and sincerity, to simply…err. And it is in the attributes of Allah SWT, the Most Merciful, to forgive 🙂 Subhanahu wa bihamdih!

Dua- ‘Ya Allah, forgive me, and don’t let this sin (or any of my sins) get in my way of gaining Your blessings…’

‘Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers. And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers. [Qur’an 71:10-12]
